Friday Fuck Music

Mind my swearing, its levelling out your courtesy.

Friday is a time to get freaky-deaky, but don't be a dick. Listen and chill to these drums and bass tracks and enoy the first nice day all week. Maybe not so much outside, but near your music station and with windows opened.

Produced with Aphrodite back in time, Mickey Finn and his partner in crime remind, old school DNB is back. Catch him at classic outdoor rave festival WEMF 2008. Be prepared and hope for a dream team-up with Shabba D, and MC Tali. Brilliant!

Drop Top Caddy - Mickey Finn & Aphrodite

Staying back in time is this compilation from World Dance 1994. DW is one of the biggest rave promoters ever. We've come quite a ways since and maybe all parties or raves don't muster nearly the strength of their ancestors, but today's music is far better.

Coco Rosie - Hairnet Paradise

Live performance of a very eclectic piece. Enjoyable, thanks to Nikki for dropping the name.
Best use of Animal Farm Keyboard ever!

All Because Of You

Local promoter and talent scout hero, DJ Mark the Mechanic has begun testing remix artistry. Fine job on this short Bmore ditty. The sample was used well as vocals, and when edited constructively, added a favourite element of mine to the track. McLovin' the vocal effects.

I do think a deep and developed baseline would suit this track and bring it to the next level. And then a master edit, and then a remix, and then a versus, and then a lawsuit. A good competing effort, fine work Mark!

Mark is a friend of Scum DJs, based out of London, Ontario. And we hope to see him out soon.

And now..

Disc'oh, oh yeah, alright!

Punks Jump Up,

Punks Jump Up - Dance to Our Disco

Don't accuse me of not sharing. Ha! This track is diamonds! The video, well it grew on me. Too 80's, and too Saved By The Bell dreamstate, Slater not included.

Because I do not know how long this more-pop sounding appreciation will last, I will include this one found. Kind of nice, but very similarly composed to other tracks. The vocals make this one, definate.

Sam Sparro - Black and Gold

Quite poppy sounding, but a catchy tune. Glad I made my way upon Mr. Sparro and his posse of decked-out men. They might all be replicas of him, so don't put my final answer in.

And I can see myself getting hooked on Lotto. Super 7 is up to $27 mil!

The Sex Has Made Me Stupid

Robots in Disguise

My afternoon was filled with the wonderful sounds of the three ladies of RID.

The perfect way to end a great holiday weekend, and a reflection on the past while.

Girl punk has always been a favourite, in case anyone can't tell. Yes, it is up until now, realising that all the videos posted have been female frontline. Fuck YEAH!

Robots in Disguise - I Don't Have A God

After watching, or if you click menu, the other track will come up. This album is in my collection as soon as I afford the iPod Touch 8Gig and borrow wireless signal at work.
Somehow it must be better than my laptop experience.

No Typing, Just Thrash

Not letting you think I just listen to dance and electronica, my ears have more recently adapted to rock and punk. The thrash, forward sounds of many of the upfront bands mix well with house and and other new wav, upbeat, thrash artists. Trash Fashion is a band from the UK that is sure to leave their mark.
