In recent years and releases many DNB tracks have become too heavy on the snare. The bassline, the bump, the DarkSide went missing. Artists like Spor, Apex, Ewun, Misanthrop, Black Sun Empire, (as far as I've listened - remember, I'm not a huge DNB head, I only like intricate and fantastic) - HELL - I am not a name-dropper! but these artists have brought back the rythm of the drum and BASS.
These sets I find that are immaculate transitions of melody and bass counts are huge on my listen count. Heavy on whomp, timely on the snare. It's rolling, its slamming, it's techy, deliberate and the production quality is there.
It's been a while since a big set like this has been posted on RRR but I doubt many, or any, have downloaded this mix. Mastered by Mindscape and Jade.

Well that was July! It was fast, hardly warm, and everyone was at festivals. Honestly.. I haven't heard anything worth posting in a month.

This set got sent to me and it is absolutely RIDICULOUSLY loaded with tunes.
As a DJ, Mark M, aka Mark the Mechanic, has played Canada's C!RCA Night Club, thrown successful parties, challenged the DMC turntablists and should have won, and overall is a great hands-on man in the local and provincial scene. London, Ontario is not a big enough stomping ground for this man of the mix. I had been bagging him for months and I am floored with this release. VERY....
Heavy bass, creative mixing, tasteful tunes that propel emotion, and all with a driving bassline. Give it up for a hardworking Local who covers his ass with this mix. Seriously, absolutely lovely this mix is.
