Hannah Holland

The following music video is a mash up of great visuals and a live recording of Hannah Holland at Exit Festival 2007.

Exit Festival is voted the best European festival and I am not suprised an artist like Hannah Holland is slamming the blatty bass on their stages. Both are areas of music you might want to investigate.

Little Miss Quotation Marks 2008

To the person who called my ignorance of my culture un 'cool,'

If anything Crystal Castles are HOT! They already derive their influence from an Atari chip, now they are clipping and rearranging parts from other artists' songs. Sound familiar? Of course!

Top shots Daft Punk are notorious for rebranding and resounding years-old tunes. There are some loops that you have to wonder if they were purchased for use, and if so, are Daft Punk the greatest showmen of all time who have been blinding their fans from the truth?

Note: There are some who epitomise Daft to the top of the dance and electronic industry. Others, like me, wonder what the F they are up to in the Pyramid, hooked to the mothership backstage?

Pablo Picasso similarised stealing another artist's work as the essence of great art; "bad artists copy, great artists steal." The rebranding of something that belongs to thought, the process of creation, and in sense: sight, sound, etc., to remove and remoralise the issue to the artist's conception, is the difference between modern creativity and art.

Legally, or as legal as the Creative Commons License gets, and especially with digital music, Crystal Castles should have contacted and made Lo-Bat aware and fully knowledgeable of intent. In this case a versus stature, "CC vs. Lo-Bat," would have been binding. Crystal Castles and their management have since replaced the title on their MySpace, but after THE INCIDENT.

Crystal Castles, Daft Punk, and numerous other 'artists' are playing music we, or I, want to hear. They are borrowing samples and influencing eachother in all forms of the industry. Therefore, I do not now how uncool of me it was that I did not know Crystal Castles, on two cases, reworked other artists' samples into their songs.

I'm too busy enjoying the music to care about the little things that have no attachment to my ears and muh brain!

And now even better music than Crystal Castles,

Kap Bambino - New Breath (Live)

Crystal Castles

Atari-electro band Crystal Castles have recently released a new track, and an official video. First found on TrashMenagerie,

Google Gone Done It Again

Yahoo! tries to stabilise after Microsoft pulls its weiner out. Wussy! Though still encouraging to know Yahoo! will remain its dominant and experienced self a while longer.

And hope you have a good day, because this beast might screw it up for good: you know the massive particle collider they built under Europe? Today might be Blow Up Earth Day.

Magnificent Sandtigers

Looking for paints and canvas today I came across an old sketch book. It was not used for any meaningfull drawings. However, discovered was a grocery list for my sophmore year of college. It was the first time living on my own in 622A, and the far greater 610A, in the on-campus residence of Georgian College.
I eat nothing like this currently.

Scratch That - Its Been Done Before

Another painting using mixed media. Grunge layers, deconstruction, and texture are highlighted in this piece. Will more than likely go on sale in Summer, and it is my most asked about piece, besides TASTE.

It is a close image of current minds.

IMA EACHU!

Please be advised that you are not allowed to tell me who won America's Next Top Model. I was working and missed it because I was catching up on Jon and Kate + Eight. Awwwww.

Being employed and a part of the work force is a wonderful break from sitting around, doing nothing, and than running out of topics to blog about. Consciously working on several big stories, but having no hard disk to save information to makes it more difficult. Rather it be an investment of time to get the results wanted, than to half ass do it and fail.

One thing working in a convenience store has to offer is a total zen attitude. You know there are going to be extended periods of time, so you plan on how to spread the work out over the seven or eight hour shift. Then there are many different jobs that are so far apart from eachother that it makes it interesting. Not to mention the Slushie machine, the five cent candies, and the sticker pricing gun. Zen. I really could be Asian after working at my store for a year. Its a vacation at the Kwik-E Mart. Thank you come again. ;)

Other than that, tempted going out and that wasn't as much of a success on several parts, but quite a success in others. And I am OK with that. If not, I am more determined than ever to get my new projects accomplished. Seeing it now there were times of wanting to invest time into a project. Now the ideas are being developed more and my management of them is getting better.

Some current projects (besides baking gluten-free, fresh fruit cookies with hemp hearts) have me in the garden, growing some organic legumes and vegetables on 17 year recomposted soil. The others are in the works, but seem more and more likely now that I have the finances to back them.

What ever it is, it will be great. Because I can, I will, and I do. Even if there are minor setbacks.
