Gordon Monahan - Speaker Swinging

An art piece that is hypnotic. I thought some UFOs were going to land during some of it. Spooky, neat.

Canadian Canadian Men's World Cup Ski Training Camp in Portillo, Chile

The crazy Canadian Cowboys have been training hard for many seasons. 2009-2010 will be more intense with a great team for the World Cup circuit as well as the 2010 Vancouver-Whistler Olympics. I can't wait for WinterStart Lake Louise at the end of November.

In this video the young and successful Robbie Dixon is chased by veteran Erik Guay.

Thanksgiving Dinner and Tour of my Pad

It is Canadian Thanksgiving! Normally I would be watching the Dorchester Demolition Derby from a great vantage point in the beer tent. My home-town's fair beats the Calgary Stampede out of the water.

This will be my first year cooking a full turkey dinner for myself. Potatoes, corn, stuffing, gravy, and of course a whole turkey. It is also two-weeks since I've moved into my new place and I'm pretty much settled. It's manly, and quaint, and it is mine!

Today is rather cozy. I've had to bundle up in winter clothes because snow has been falling since the first of October! Crazy winds blowing down from the mountains are also fierce and can turn a -2C into a chill -22C. Forget Autumn - it's snow time! This particularly interests me because I can go skiing sooner, but the lack of a proper Indian Summer of red skies, warm air, crisp senses are something I miss about my hometown.

Here is a tour of my man space:
