Found this gem on Google Earth one night. It is near Dallas I believe.

Poacher's Arms Pub tonight for Jenn's Birthday Celebrations! Ch-Ching!!

Saturday! Saturday!

The weather this year has been very dramatic. We went right from the hashest winter winds of Collingwood, Ontario into wet and cold Southern Ontario Spring, and now into what will probably be a hot, dry summer.

Wack.

Thursday Favourites!

Just opened my tin of this stuff,

Don't Wanna Be a Freak But I Can't Help Myself

Posture

Posture can harm or improve your body's systems. Proper posture encourages blood, enzymes and oxygen to flow through our circulatory system and into our tissue to be processed.

Just over two weeks ago I ran a two week experiment on self posture. I have long read that computer posture negatively affects the body. Over the two weeks I replaced my pent-caster, adjustable hydrolic Captain's chair with a robust, under-used, slightly explosive excersise ball.

It did the trick.

I felt my back loosen up, I felt a positive flow of my lymphatic and blood systems and I was able to maintain sleep longer than two hours. In recovery am finding the lack of restful sleep the biggest 'side effect.' Also, I have experienced chronic back-pain that was alleviated during use. Now that my work station is a borrowed laptop on my rats' cage and I am using the side of my bed as a seat, the pain has returned.

Slightly disturbing - that a little change is posture can have a large impact, and in contrast it is slightly less disturbing that I am no longer bouncing on a yoga ball around my room. I used to giggle at the anticipation of the ball exploading. haha!

Anyways, Posture is important. They even make shoes that trick your body into becoming unstable. The results are strengthed support, better balance, and increased flow of body-systems.

Looking at this photo - it would be interesting to know if the bottles are placed for balance, or, if they were placed on acu-points. Either way the level of strength to maintain the balance is phenomenal.

Or it could be a prank.. Break.com likes to rework descriptions to fit their stupidity.

Exam @ 6, Slammed by 7

Or in my case, I will probably just go for a jolly walk - seeing as I don't drink. This exam is particularly stressful as it is worth fifty percent of my Essentials of Business Communication's mark. After completion of this course my graduation date can be tentatively scheduled for Fall 2008. Still, the Canadian job market just released a statement saying that one quarter of young-Canadian professionals are being under payed for their skills.

I don't work, therefore I am not in the statistic. However, I have been actively seeking entry-level positions for the past five years since my entrance to the rounds of post-secondary education, without much luck. This is after the the double-cohort, twice the amount of post-secondary students in the 2003-2004 education year, were hoarded into colleges because of a looming labour-shortage. Now we just have to wait until the baby-boomers retire to get jobs and then invest in other pension plans as the boomers devour what is left.

The good weather is keeping my spirits up. Only I anticipate being slapped by a wet-cold front in the near future, but thus is Spring. Just wait for the blazing heat in the middle of Summer for people to take their shirts off and wear nothing-but's. That I can handle.

As always - take care of yourself and eachother, everything else will follow.

It Is What It Is

And there is not a damn well thing you can do about it, except learn for next time. Sitting here listening to Tangerine Dream, whom are from the 70's with their ambient synthetic waves. And also, the Teenagers - Make It Happen. For those of you who enjoy sooth groove, or light new wav in the sunny mornings, hiding behind your curtains, keeping warm by the wrist pads on the borrowed laptop. I also have a huge facination with Tiger Army - anything by them is particularly thrash punk. Delicious.

Today I feel pretty great. The acupuncture and the other treatments of Traditional Chinese Medicine ( TCM ) work wonders, and I like the mentorship of discussing alternative practices with people so friendly. See The Healthy Lifestyle Store for tonnes of recipes, articles, and information for all things natural health. They own a shop with a weekly TCM therapist, amongst numerous other goods and products.

In Another Voice

Vacuums, the magical mystery tour, and taste testing draught beer made for a grand season opener. He sells.. vacuums? I thought he sold systems?

Other than that the feisty inner black woman who dubs poetry can't commit today. She said Aunt Jemima blew her top. Debra - my feisty inner black woman who also has
short hair and large, gold earings - is a sap.

Maybe something on getting multiple level 40's at a 37 low on FreeRice.com.

Skiing in California does happen. Job hunt resumes tomorrow. I might post some pics tonight, but this damn laptop experience is hampering my blogging.

Positivity though - The changes in my health are encouraging and provide me with a near super-strength at times. I think it is wearing off, and thin, on some.

Everyday foods like fruit, soda and _________.
