From the days of Funky House and Dirty Breaks came an cross-border duo called The Beat Freakers. Full of funk and big skills in performing live, The Beat Freakers testified to the Chicago and Toronto underground during the early-mid 2000's. A dynamic fusion of phat tracks and funky styles left its mark whether playing to massive sold-out indoor venues, or playing from the back of a rental truck to the most willing listeners. Again, The Beat Freakers - a class act that has been on hiatus. Wonder what their new word will be?

It has been a long time since I've heard a Hard House mix of this quality. In the past week I've dug out my CDs and have started putting my older favourites back onto my computer. For the fan of HH and slamming beats DJ Opel presents a 40 minute mix he commissioned for The Canadian Hardcore Collective.
