4.22 Earth Day

Tried to update a few times the past two days but, I was uh, doing something else. Had a friend come back from British Columbia yesterday and we met up with a friend from way back. But today is Earth Day! And this is Earth Week! Do your part and pick up the trash in front of your apartment, or plant some seeds for either a vegetable garden or a static garden. Flick off lights in your office and use the natural light in through windows.

The breeze has been nice. My only issues with Summer are stagnant air packs that sit and collect pollution and not enough thunderstorms. Even a tornado would be sufficient, if it stayed on the other side of town of course. I am not sure what the rest of the world does for Earth Day, but you can count on it not being as kick ass Canada's.

One of my goals for this season is to get a plant to grow, and preferably fresh herbs to start. Does anyone have a good website for recipes? There are a few social-community sites that people have mentioned in the past. I am going to make a batch or two of Gluten-Free cookies. One batch will be hemp-hearts and hemp seeds, for their oils and protein of course, and the other maybe chocolate caramel. Or dog food, depending on the amount of effort I put into this.

But do your part! Your don't have to be genius or hippy to know that a healthy lifestyle includes your entire environment. Consider taking a moment off yourself and repaying someone who's helped you in the past. Or rethink a decision in favour of a more sustainable element.
