a Robot Without a Lie

Well, it is officially ski season. My home-hills have opened and I am readying myself to bust out my mom's iron to wax my skis. You know, it is interesting in all sorts of minds what music does to us. And yet, one of the greatest things it does is connect us, through our different forms and ears.

In 2008, the entire year was about breakthrough artists. Blog-house took off for the beginning part of the year, for which their indie status craved the right-clicks of those fucking hipsters. We have created our own scene. Free of hipster-trend-fuckers and decidingly about the damn music we listen to. For those of you who still think illegal bootlegs are the greatest thing since sliced bread - enjoy you're sliced bread. We like ours thick, and customized, home-made, roasted in a heritage oven and served.

In the notes of mentionables would be plenty. Now is not the time to repeat, and this is certainly a special, most influencial artist who crossed the boundaries of underground rooms everywhere. The Proxy (USSR). Simplistic industrialised take on many genres. Dancing in the Dark and Decoy were purchased because of their sinister bass-attacks against all other artists (WMC, one studio, one soundboard 'production groups' essentially) at the time.

So dope I can't smoke it today.

The Proxy - In New DJs We Trust

Chemical Brothers – ‘Hey Boy Hey Girl’ [Soulwax Remix]
Laven & MSO ft. Malte – ‘Reach’ [Alte Schule Acid Instrumental]
Polymorpbic – ‘Rock To Play’
Autodidakt – ‘Shit Your Rack’ [Proxy Remix]
Volatile – ‘Faces Of War’
Proxy – ‘Who Are You?’
Math Head – ‘Get Hype’
Aleem –‘Felix Yo!’[Chef Remix]
Shadow Dancer – ‘Cowbois’ [Dilemn Remix]
Math Head – ‘Turn The Music Up’ [AC Slater Remix]
Digitalism – ‘Home Zone’ [Proxy Remix]
Proxy – ‘Raven’ [Live Edit]
Medicine – ‘I’m Sick’

To be honest: the MC says it sounds like 'Drum and Bass.' I think is sounds like House with Breaks? Is that a London, Ontario thing? You decide.
